White Salmon Wildflower Festival
Wildflower Walk | May 23, 2026 | 11-3pm
Where: Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum
Cost: Free
No Registration Needed
Join us for a welcoming, open-house style celebration of late spring wildflowers and the landscapes that support them.
From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, guests are invited to explore at their own pace a paved 0.36-mile loop around the museum pond featuring stationed botanists and Oregon Naturalists who will invite you to see with new eyes the native plants, seasonal blooms, and the ecosystems of the Eastern Gorge.
This experience is designed with accessibility in mind:
- Paved asphalt trail
- 0.36 miles total distance with about 20 feet of elevation change
- The route begins and ends at accessible parking spaces and bathrooms
- Some areas with moderate root damage
- High school aged volunteers available to assist with mobility needs, including wheelchair support
Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace, pause where they like, and engage as much or as little as they choose.
At the same time, the museum will host an indoor open house as part of our Wildflower and Watershed Festival (11-3 pm), featuring community partners, interactive activities, and additional ways to connect with local nature focused organizations.
