Get Your Hands in the Dirt: Help Grow Downtown White Salmon
This year’s White Salmon Wildflower Festival is about more than just admiring blooms—it’s about growing something together.
We’re inviting community members, visitors, and plant lovers of all ages to take part in a special hands-on project: the Downtown White Salmon Sidewalk Native Plant Garden, led by local garden designer Adria Sparhawk, owner of Sparhawk Garden Design.

A Garden Rooted in Place
Adria brings a lifetime of connection to the Pacific Northwest landscape to this project. Born and raised in the region, she has spent years exploring its wild places and mastering the art of gardening within its unique climate and ecosystems.
Her work is grounded in a simple but powerful philosophy:
“Inspiring a love and respect of the natural world has been a guiding principle in life – weaving people and spaces together is at the heart of our work.”
The sidewalk gardens will reflect that vision—transforming downtown spaces into living, breathing examples of native beauty, while supporting pollinators and creating a more vibrant streetscape for everyone.
Be Part of the Bloom
We’re looking for volunteers to help bring this project to life during the Wildflower Festival. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just curious to learn, this is a chance to:
- Get your hands in the soil
- Learn about native plants and sustainable landscaping
- Connect with neighbors and fellow nature enthusiasts
- Leave a lasting, positive impact on downtown White Salmon
How to Join
- Sign up using our volunteer form to be notified when dates and locations are announced
- Or simply show up and join in—we’d love to have you
We’ll be sharing full details soon, so stay tuned!
This Wildflower Festival, let’s do more than celebrate the season—let’s plant the future of White Salmon together.
