White Salmon River Rafting – Guided River Rafting
The White Salmon River has drawn whitewater enthusiasts for generations. This exciting rafting trip is perfect for both first-time rafters and experienced adventurers, with Class III–IV rapids that deliver plenty of splashy excitement and active paddling.

On this half-day adventure, you’ll experience the continuous Middle Section of the White Salmon River, known for its big, thrilling rapids and beautiful Pacific Northwest scenery. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of lush forests, basalt canyon walls, and the wild landscapes that make this river so special. Depending on water levels, guests may also have the option to take part in our famous bridge jump for an extra adrenaline rush.
Protected under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, the White Salmon River flows through a remote and undeveloped corridor. Its pristine shoreline and dense forests create ideal habitat for wildlife, offering a true wilderness experience that few visitors to the region ever see. Rafting the White Salmon is one of the most exciting ways to experience the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Your trip begins at our riverside headquarters, where our guides will get you geared up for the adventure. We provide wetsuits, splash jackets, neoprene booties, PFDs, and helmets to keep you comfortable on the water. All you need to do is show up at Wet Planet with a bathing suit or a pair of shorts to wear under your wetsuit, and we take care of everything else.

Klickitat River Rafting – Guided River Rafting
The Klickitat River rafting trip combines the continuous fun of never-ending class II-III rapids with the striking beauty of deep wilderness. This whitewater rafting trip begins on the eastern flank of the volcanic Mt. Adams, as glacial snowfields melt to fill the river during warmer spring months.

The section we will be rafting starts NE of Glenwood and ends 18 miles downstream at Leidl campground, with a stop midway for lunch at the fish hatchery. This is a very wild and remote section of the river, and often we are treated to wildlife and beautiful wildflowers!
The trip will meet at our headquarters on the White Salmon River to gear up (we provide wetsuits, splash jackets, neoprene booties, PFDs, and helmets). In this full-day Washington rafting trip, your group will enjoy a delicious lunch on the banks of the river halfway down the Klickitat River. Stopping to take in the surrounding epic views and enjoy conversation with your professional river guides makes your experience that much richer. Your guides at Wet Planet recommend this river rafting trip for wilderness enthusiasts and action-seeking adventurers. With continuous whitewater rapids set in a remote wilderness area all day, the Klickitat whitewater raft trip has something for everyone.

Beginner Whitewater Kayak Instruction
Wet Planet is one of Washington’s premier kayaking schools, and our Beginner Whitewater Kayak Course is the perfect introduction to the sport. Designed for first-time paddlers, this course teaches the fundamentals of whitewater kayaking in a supportive and fun learning environment.

On the first day, you’ll learn about kayaking gear, what to do if you flip upside down, and the essential paddle strokes. On days two and three, you’ll put your new skills into practice while paddling downstream on the Lower Klickitat River, learning to catch eddies, ferry across the current, and navigate fun Class I–II whitewater. At the end of the third day, students have the option to run a super fun Class III rapid called Ishy Phisy!
With enthusiastic instructors and small class sizes, this course is a fantastic way to begin your kayaking journey while spending time on a beautiful Northwest river.
Courses begin every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:00 AM and finish around 4:00 PM each day. We offer both 2-day and 3-day course options, though we highly recommend the 3-day course. That extra day on the water helps students gain confidence in their boats and gives more time to practice new skills.
The course fee includes all necessary kayaking equipment, including your kayak, paddle, personal flotation device (PFD), helmet, wetsuit, booties, and splash jacket. All you need to bring is a water bottle, sunscreen, and a bathing suit or pair of shorts to wear under your wetsuit—we take care of everything else. A delicious lunch is also included each day.
Our instructors work closely with each student to build strong paddling skills. At Wet Planet, we recognize that everyone learns at a different pace, so our experienced instructors use a variety of teaching techniques to help every student succeed. Throughout the course, you’ll learn essential skills such as river reading, self-rescue, safe paddling techniques, and technical boat control—all while having a great time on the river.
