White Salmon Visitor Information Center

The White Salmon Visitor Information Center (also known as the Mt Adams Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center) is located at 1 Heritage Plaza, White Salmon, WA 98672. There are restrooms, a park-and-ride, and information about White Salmon and Klickitat County. From the Visitor Information Center, you can drive the one-way Dock Grade Rd up the bluff to White Salmon.

Back in 1897 a bluff stairway was built to connect the Columbia River and White Salmon. There were 652 steps! The last of the stairway burned in a bluff fire in the early 1950s. There are folks today working on bringing the steps back!
