The district is financially sound and has an annual budget of $12.6 million. The district benefits from many of the programs offered by ESD #112, which serves districts in Southwest Washington. It is also involved in many state and federal grants including Title I, Title II, Migrant, Learning Assistance, Career and Technical Education, Beginning Teacher Assistance, Bilingual, Math and Science, and Gifted programs.

The community has a history of strong support for schools, regularly approving two-year maintenance and operation levies, and involving itself in many ways through classroom and school-based events. Additionally, in 2006 a nonprofit education foundation, the White Salmon Valley Education Foundation, was formed to bring curriculum enhancing programs to all our schools.
