The Underwood Conservation District (UCD) hopes you’re doing well with the onset of winter, and as we start to look forward to the new year, here is a “Save the Date” notice that we are planning TreeFest for Saturday, March 23, 2023, at Rhinegarten Park in White Salmon starting at 9:00 AM.
TreeFest has been a fun way to share native plant enthusiasm and welcome the spring, and we hope you can join us this coming year! TreeFest will have over 200 local landowners coming to pick up their pre-ordered native plant orders. We will also hold a “day-of” bare-root native plant sale for additional attendees and local nurseries providing potted stock for sale.
Every year, Underwood Conservation District (UCD) offers low-cost tree and shrub seedlings to residents in the Columbia Gorge. We offer a variety of conifers, deciduous trees and shrubs. They come ready to plant as 1-3 year-old, bare-root or plug seedlings. Customers place orders online through the winter, then pick up plants at our annual TreeFest event.
How the Plant Sale works:
-
Pre-order your plants online for the best selection. Online orders are accepted from early January through the end of February (sign up for our newsletter to be notified when sales begin each year)
-
All species are sold in bundles of 10 plants. Prices listed are per bundle (10 plants). Smaller quantities may be purchased at our TreeFest event, where we offer single item sales as well as create-your-own mixed bundles.
-
All orders will be available for pick-up on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at our annual TreeFest event at Rheingarten Park in downtown White Salmon, WA. Please note: any orders not picked up will be donated to local restoration efforts. Sorry, we are unable to offer refunds for orders cancelled after the last day of February, or for unclaimed orders. We do our very best to honor our advertised pick-up date and time; however, the date is subject to change due to weather or other unavoidable circumstances.
-
Email is the primary way we will communicate with you regarding your order and pick-up information. Please ensure that your email address is correct, and add ‘info@ucdwa.org’ to your safe senders list or contacts list.
