Tin Roof Barn: A Magical Wedding Destination in the Columbia River Gorge
Set amongst rolling hills and lush orchards, with sweeping views of Mt. Adams, the Tin Roof Barn has become one of the Columbia River Gorge’s most iconic rustic-elegant wedding venues. Just minutes from downtown White Salmon, this historic property offers couples not only a timeless setting to celebrate their love, but also the chance to immerse their guests in the beauty, charm, and adventure of the Gorge.

A Venue with Heart and History
The centerpiece of the property is a 3,400-square-foot barn built in the early 1900s, lovingly restored to host gatherings of up to 190 guests. The venue also features a ceremony patio overlooking orchards, a timber-framed pavilion anchored by a massive stone fireplace, and wide-open meadows perfect for photos or lawn games. Couples appreciate the thoughtful inclusions—farm tables, mismatched wood chairs, sound system, DJ booth, restrooms, dressing rooms, and curated lighting—all bundled into the rental.
But beyond the amenities, what truly sets Tin Roof Barn apart is its story and the vision of founder Kelly Regan.
“I have a firm belief that each person longs to feel the nostalgia of childhood,” Kelly reflects. “As adults, we get bogged down with life’s realities—financial, emotional, a sense of duty. Tin Roof Barn is a place where people can rediscover that sense of magic and intrigue, and share it with the people they love.”
From Family Farm to Dream Venue
Kelly’s roots run deep in the White Salmon Valley. Her parents purchased the property in 1971, long before the Gorge was known as a destination. “It was full of orchards, native forests, rivers filled with salmon, and plenty of land for my parents to envision settling down and raising their family,” Kelly shares.
One of those original farm structures, a weathered barn tucked near a curve of the White Salmon River, became the cornerstone of Kelly’s vision decades later. After a career as a military and commercial airline pilot, Kelly felt called to create something more heartfelt. “I craved to be involved in something that could affect people in a positive and emotional way,” she says. “A lightbulb moment later and Tin Roof Barn was born.”
Her parents welcomed the idea of restoring the barn, thrilled to see it brought back to life as a place where couples could begin new chapters. Since its opening in 2014, the venue has become a beloved backdrop for celebrations filled with joy, laughter, and beauty.
Weddings in White Salmon: A Destination for Love
Choosing Tin Roof Barn means more than a stunning wedding—it’s an invitation to experience White Salmon and the Gorge. Couples often extend their celebrations into a full weekend, with guests exploring local wineries, breweries, hiking trails, and river adventures. Downtown White Salmon, with its vibrant dining scene and small-town charm, provides the perfect place for families and friends to gather.
“Weddings at Tin Roof Barn are an invitation to rediscover magic,” Kelly says. “It’s the celebration of a wild and whimsical love that every generation has felt and is able to experience once again.”
Plan Your Gorge Celebration
Events at Tin Roof Barn run from May through October, with fees ranging from $6,300 to $9,800 depending on date and guest count. Paired with the charm of White Salmon and the natural wonders of the Columbia Gorge, it’s no surprise that couples from near and far choose this valley as the place to begin their lives together.
Kelly puts it best: “We cordially invite you to embrace your future with unrestrained delight and let your celebration at Tin Roof Barn be the pearl you cherish for decades to come.”
