That was quite a January snowstorm we had! We hope you all stayed safe and were able to enjoy the beauty that is the Columbia River Gorge in Winter! We are on to our February Giveaway featuring The Inn of the White Salmon–it seems to sneak up on us so quickly!
We love shining the spotlight on our amazing Downtown businesses here in White Salmon, and it’s been really fun to give you all an opportunity to win some very special prizes!

We appreciate your engagement with our social media page and website. It has been great to chat with our local small business owners, and learn more about them, what they do and what led them to settle in White Salmon. We are so fortunate to live where there is so much diversity. We have unique gift shops, amazing food, wine and craft brew, and a myriad of artists and wellness professionals right in the heart of Downtown, and that feels pretty special!
Our Explore White Salmon website and social media pages, aims to focus on our immediate and nearby surrounding communities to promote and bring attention to these small businesses, while also striving toward an emphasis on sustainable tourism. We do our best to keep you in the loop on upcoming events and happenings in and around White Salmon!
HOW IT WORKS
At the beginning of each month, we will partner with a local business in Downtown White Salmon. Each business owner will decide what they would like to donate. We will then highlight the details on our Instagram and Facebook pages.

The Inn of the White Salmon is offering up a free night’s stay to our winner! This offer will be good through 2024.
The last entry will be the last day of the month. One winner will be randomly selected and notified on the 1st of the month and will be notified via our Instagram stories.
Our February Giveaway comes to you from The Inn of the White Salmon, an eco-friendly 22-room hotel within walking distance to Downtown and all our awesome bars, restaurants and shops! New owners, Flo and Nicole Niemesch, who just bought the historic Inn in January of this year–CONGRATULATIONS–have been running The Inn of White Salmon since their business associates purchased the property in 2007. Flo and Nicole moved from Germany to help their friends remodel and took over daily operations.
Once an apartment building in the 1930’s, this gorgeous brick exterior Inn has private rooms that are smoke free/pet free, and each with a refrigerator, cable tv and complimentary WiFi. You can choose from Standard Rooms, Studios or King Suites with a kitchenette/sitting area.
Take advantage of in-house events like wine tasting, movie nights and gallery shows and the Columbia Room, which is stocked with games, books and a large screen television. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available to purchase to enjoy in your room, on the patio or in the garden. A shuttle service is also available from PDX by appointment.
There is a stunning Patio area with plenty of seating and a pergola for shade in the Garden to sit and relax. As a guest, you will be provided with a complimentary day pass to White Salmon’s amazing Yoga Samadhi, located just across the street, or The Works Total Fitness Center, just up the road. (One pass per guest, per stay). They also offer White Water Rafting packages, should you be interested in some adventure during your stay!
The Inn of the White Salmon is just 10 minutes from Hood River, 15 minutes from world class rafting and water sports and only 45 minutes from Mt Hood, should you visit during ski season! There are a myriad of other outdoor activities in the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area–plenty of hiking trails, mountain biking, golf courses and award-winning Wineries and Tasting Rooms nearby!
