White Salmon residents getting ready to hunker down at home should think about adding beer, wine and gift cards to their list of must-haves.  People have been clearing the grocery aisles of toilet paper, pasta, and chicken at Walmart and Fred Meyer’s.  Now, beer and wine are the next items on the list for many of us as we experience this global public health crisis – coronavirus pandemic.

We have some of the best craft beer and wine in this country right here.

You can stock up on 6-packs and purchase gift cards to support Everybody’s.   Everybody’s Brewing is also offering a Take and Bake for St. Patrick’s Day.  You can call in your order by Monday. “We will soon be providing a special Take-n-Bake menu to help alleviate the burden of cooking on working families in response to the cancellation of school, and for those who are practicing social distancing,” says Christine Ellenberger, co-owner of Everybody’s.  And as always, they offer to-go orders on all regular menu items.

Cor Cellars is open for wine pickup and orders. “We are not offering tastings at this time, to encourage the health of all of you and our staff,” says their recent newsletter.  They are also offering to make local deliveries if you are preferring to stay at home and now have a $20 flat rate shipping on orders of six or more bottles. “If you are a pick-up customer and would like to add anything to your stockpile, let us know and we are happy to coordinate that delivery.”

Le Doubble Troubble is open for tastings but has switched to disposable glasses.  They also have plenty of wine bottles for purchase.  “Grab a couple of bottles before you hunker down,” says their Facebook page.

Feast Market & Delicatessen has lots to offer for take-out.  From fresh salmon to cook at home, deli meats, to pre-made delicacies, they are open. “We have lots of wine and champagne to go, and we can fill growlers of beer as well. If you give us a call {509-637-6886} we will meet you curbside!” says co-owner Jenessa VanDeHey.

Henni’s Kitchen & Bar is making take-out food a priority and has created an abbreviated menu online available for curbside pick up and possible delivery. Pioneer Pizza Kitchen is already online, and are working on a curbside pick up option. “For those still wanting to dine in, we have done numerous things to keep the public safe, including six feet spacing between tables, disposable menus, increased sanitation of all items inside and on tables,” says Sarah Morton Erasmus, co-owner of Henni’s Kitchen & Bar.

She added: “Pray for us, this is so very scary and I know we are not alone in this.”

White Salmon Baking Co. is offering their full menu as a take-out option.  “If folks would like to take a pizza home on Monday’s Pizza Night, that is an option as well,” says co-owner Nina Jimenez.  Stock up on wine with their interesting selection of well-priced imported wines.  For dining in or picking up a baguette, Jimenez is encouraging people to use Apple Pay as much as possible.  They are on a strict regime to keep ipads, door handles, tables, etc disinfected.  White Salmon Baking Co. is open for their regular hours.

“How about everybody that eats out at least once a week, purchase a gift card online each week for approximately the amount you would spend if dining in and use it later when everyone is back up and going. Might help a local stay in business,” says community member Laurie O’Leary.
