During the White Salmon Wildflower Festival, a brand new mural will come to life on the walls of @everybodysbrewing — a living, breathing piece of art shaped by the very community it celebrates.

Made possible through the White Salmon Wine Walk taking place May 9th, this mural is more than something to admire, but something to experience. Watch local artists @_angelalojaconoart and @marythewilder in action, and maybe grab a brush to leave your own mark!

Led by @coloroutsidelines this project weaves together art, nature, and community, drawing inspiration from the wildflowers, river, and sweeping Gorge landscapes we all love.

Here in White Salmon, art doesn’t just hang on walls, it grows, it connects, and it belongs to everyone.

Spring in the Gorge isn’t just about wildflowers a Spring in the Gorge isn’t just about wildflowers and waterfalls… it’s also morel season 🍄‍🟫

Right now, the forests and river corridors along the Columbia River Gorge are quietly producing one of the most sought-after treasures of the Pacific Northwest—morel mushrooms.

These honeycomb-capped gems start popping up as soil temperatures warm and spring rains linger, typically appearing from early April through June in Washington. In the Gorge, you’ll often find them near cottonwood trees, riverbanks, and recently burned forest areas where conditions are just right!

Foraging is part treasure hunt, part patience practice. Move slowly, look closely, and when you spot one… there are usually more nearby 👀

A few tips before you head out 👇🏻

• Always positively identify before consuming
• Cut, don’t pull to protect future growth
• Bring a mesh bag to help spread spores as you walk
• Check local regulations—some areas have restrictions

Whether you’re a seasoned forager or just curious, this is one of the coolest ways to experience spring in the Gorge!

🌿 Pro tip: Pair your forage day with a local wine tasting and turn it into a full Gorge adventure 🍷
