Mulata

As the founder of MULATA, being an artisan is my way of connecting with my roots, my story, and my creativity. It’s not just about making handmade jewelry—it’s about giving form to ideas, emotions, and values I want to share through each piece.
Designing for MULATA starts with a clear intention: to create something authentic, meaningful, and rooted in identity. I’m inspired by my Caribbean and Indigenous heritage, by feminine strength, cultural memory, and everyday moments. Each design begins with a feeling or a memory, and evolves into a piece meant to accompany and empower the person who wears it.
I work by hand, carefully managing each step of the process—from selecting materials like Miyuki Delica beads, seed beads, crystals, stainless steel, and natural stones, to composing the final design. I focus on achieving a balance between aesthetics, quality, and meaning. I don’t mass-produce—every piece is unique and made with intention.
Being an artisan at MULATA means staying true to who I am. It’s about creating with purpose, respecting the details, and offering more than just an accessory: a piece that represents, connects, and tells a story.”
