Mountain Town Throwdown Returns to White Salmon October 10, 2026
Live music, local makers, steins, beer and one seriously good mountain-town party
White Salmon, Washington — October 10, 2026 – 3:00-10:00PM
There are plenty of reasons to visit White Salmon in October. The changing leaves. The crisp mountain air. The Columbia River Gorge. The incredible food and drink scene.
And then there’s Mountain Town Throwdown.
On Saturday, October 10, 2026, downtown White Salmon will once again come alive for a day of music, makers, beer, friendly competition and the unmistakable energy of a mountain town that knows how to have a good time.
Presented by Everybody’s Brewing, Mountain Town Throwdown is a celebration of the people, businesses, artists, musicians and community that make White Salmon such a special place.
And this year, we’re turning it up.
THE GOLD SOULS ARE HEADLINING

Get ready to dance.
This year’s Mountain Town Throwdown headliner is The Gold Souls, Sacramento’s cosmic funk and soul sensation.
Rooted in funk, soul and blues, The Gold Souls bring a high-energy live show built around groove, connection and getting people onto the dance floor. Their sound combines driving funk grooves, rich soul textures, blues storytelling and a powerful horn section.
In other words: this is not background music.
This is music for dancing, singing along and letting loose under the big tent.
The band has brought its unique brand of boogie to audiences throughout the West and beyond, sharing stages with artists including California Honeydrops, The Soul Rebels, Five Alarm Funk and North Mississippi Allstars.
We’re pretty sure White Salmon is ready.
SAM HUMANS: THE GREAT BEYOND

And because this is Mountain Town Throwdown, we’re not stopping with a great headliner.
Local favorite Sam Humans will be premiering an entirely new rock opera: The Great Beyond.
Who is Sam Humans?
Well…
Sam Humans was born in a tree and raised on a tug boat.
He invented beards, rainbows, and spends his time in the mountains talking to plants.
A pioneer of “Psychedelic International Post-Pop,” Humans pushes the boundaries of what one person can accomplish live — singing, playing drums, guitar, keys, samples and percussion simultaneously, all without the use of a computer.
For Mountain Town Throwdown, Humans will premiere The Great Beyond, a new rock opera about the evolution of the Human Race.
You really can’t make this stuff up.
And that’s exactly why you should be there.
DJ CHARLIE KITTENS WILL KEEP THE PARTY MOVING
When you’re ready for another round of dancing, DJ Charlie Kittens will be there to keep the energy going.
Because a proper mountain town throwdown needs a soundtrack from beginning to end.
MORE THAN MUSIC

Mountain Town Throwdown isn’t just a concert.
Throughout downtown, you’ll find 30+ artisan vendors showcasing art, handmade goods, crafts and all kinds of things you didn’t know you needed until you saw them.
Come wander the streets, shop local, meet the makers and discover something new.
And yes, there will be plenty of opportunities to raise a glass.
RAISE YOUR STEIN

Think you’ve got what it takes?
The Mountain Town Throwdown Stein Competition is back.
Grab a stein, bring your competitive spirit and get ready to see who can hold on the longest.
Whether you’re competing or cheering from the sidelines, it’s one of those quintessentially silly, highly competitive mountain-town traditions that makes this event what it is.
THE BIG TENT

As the afternoon rolls into evening, the energy shifts toward the big tent, where the live music takes center stage.
Tickets are required for the live music portion of the event, so if you want to dance the night away with The Gold Souls, see Sam Humans debut The Great Beyond, and experience DJ Charlie Kittens, grab your tickets early.

Keeping the party going
COME FOR THE PARTY. STAY FOR WHITE SALMON.
Mountain Town Throwdown is a great reason to make a weekend of it.
Spend the day exploring downtown White Salmon. Grab coffee. Visit local shops. Check out the Gorge. Enjoy dinner. Meet friends for a drink. Then head to the Throwdown and dance under the big tent.
White Salmon sits in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, surrounded by mountains, trails, rivers and some of the best food, drink and outdoor recreation in the Pacific Northwest.
Come for Mountain Town Throwdown. Stay for the mountain town.
A PARTY THAT GIVES BACK
There’s another reason Mountain Town Throwdown matters.
The event is organized by the White Salmon Business Alliance, a committee focused on strengthening White Salmon’s business community. The Business Alliance currently operates under the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce and is transitioning into its own nonprofit organization, White Salmon Main Street, later this year.
For the 2026 event, the Northshore Community Foundation serves as the event’s 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Ticket sales, sponsorships and the event’s special occasion permit are processed through the Northshore Community Foundation, which is administered by the Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce.
And importantly, the proceeds from Mountain Town Throwdown will go back into the White Salmon community.
After event expenses, funds may support projects such as downtown beautification, public art, community spaces, events and other projects that help make White Salmon a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
So when you buy a ticket, you’re doing more than buying a night of music.
You’re investing in White Salmon.
