Shine On: Eliza Carver!

Graphic designer, illustrator, feminist, and outdoor enthusiast, Eliza Carver is determined to help wholehearted organizations and small businesses thrive.

Originally from a small town in Vermont, Eliza relocated to White Salmon via Wyoming, where she spent her time rock climbing, skiing, and working as a graphic designer for the National Outdoor Leadership School. Since moving to White Salmon, she has enjoyed working with local businesses on all types of projects; mural installation for Tokki Art Supply, collaborating with Dan Cox Design on rebranding Outdoor Vino to apparel design for Wet Planet Whitewater.

While working as a freelancer, she also runs an online art store selling; fine art prints, stickers, and risograph prints. Her work and inspiration are rooted in the natural world, where she spends her free time, noodling around on skis or floating local rivers in her kayak. Her lighthearted, loose lines focus on the importance of play in our daily lives and the way we feel when we interact with our natural world.

Most recently, Eliza co-founded The Womxn’s Time to Lead project with Brieanna O’Duinn founder of Beset – an advisory services practice based in Trout Lake. The project aims to support and fund women change-makers, entrepreneurs and small business owners through art. The illustrated womxn represent liberated qualities of the feminine archetype embodied by and in relationship with nature. Together, they celebrate womxn’s innate strengths, challenge cultural body image norms, remind us of our connection to Earth, and offer an alternative vision of leadership through a lens of the empowered feminine within each of us. Eliza hopes to continue growing this project by collaborating and working with other womxn artists and changemakers.
