Lucky Locks

Sarah is the owner of Lucky Locks — a magical shoppe in the Heights of Hood River where she takes appointments and welcomes visitors to peruse magical gifts amongst a jungle of plants and good vibes. As a designer and photographer for her own visual marketing studio called Neon Grounds, Sarah has a love for beauty and self employment.

In 2016 Lucky Locks was born simply as a playful design project that aimed to show adults that they could still express their love for sparkle and be taken seriously in professional environments. What came of this just-for-fun-mission became her main focus and livelihood where she now has business coached over 100 mobile entrepreneurs and trained over 200 cosmetologists who provide Lucky Locks’ hair sparkles to their communities across the globe.

Sarah’s favorite thing about Lucky Locks is the way it has threaded together communities in light hearted ways that have often turned deeply meaningful.

These bands and tribes include the Cayuse, Kah-milt-pah, Klickitat, Klinquit, Know-was-say-ee, Li-say-was, Nimiipuu, Oche-chotes, Paiute, Palouse, Pisquose, Se-ap-cat, Shyiks, Skinpah, Umatilla, Wah-lal-la, Walla Walla, Warm Springs, Wasco, Wenatshampam, Wishxam, and Yakama peoples.
