Halloween Festivities 2024

Ghosts, wizards, superheroes, and mystical creatures will descend upon downtown White Salmon this upcoming Halloween night!

With the scent of pumpkin spice in the air and a blanket of fallen leaves covering the ground, White Salmon is ready to conjure up another spellbinding Halloween. Local residents and visiting spirits alike are invited to celebrate a night of tricks, treats, and enchantment in the heart of downtown on Thursday, October 31st.

As the moon rises and the winds carry whispers of past Halloweens, the streets will come alive with a parade of characters—classic specters, mischievous goblins, modern-day superheroes, and whimsical sprites. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of all things spooky or just in it for the fun, this year’s festivities promise to be a magical evening you won’t want to miss.

From 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Jewett Boulevard (Hwy 141) will be closed to cars, transforming into a pedestrian-friendly haunt between Garfield Avenue and Estes Avenue.

What’s in store?

Halloween Scenes – 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM
146 W Jewett Blvd
The Community Partners of White Salmon Bingen, Mt. Adams Chamber of Commerce, The Masons at White Salmon Lodge No. 163, and volunteers from other local community groups promise a Halloween experience fit for all ages. Venture in, wander through for a view and try to keep your wits as specters lurk in the shadows!

Festival of Light – 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
60 NE Wauna Ave (Bubba’s Brew Espresso Parking Lot)
Grace Baptist Church’s long-standing tradition shines again! Enjoy carnival games, sip on warm cider, savor spellbinding cookies, and delight in the parade of dazzling costumes.

Trunk or Treat – 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Mt Adams Elks Lodge, 124 NE Church Ave (next to the White Salmon Fire Hall)
Who knows what you’ll find inside the spooky trunks this year? Perhaps a sorcerer’s toolkit, a potion-filled cauldron, or simply heaps of delicious candy! Join us to discover what mysterious goodies lie in store.

Costume Parade – 5:45 PM to 6:00 PM
(Begins at WS City Hall Parking Lot)   Line up at 5:35 / Parade begins at 5:45
Join the other characters for a parade of dazzling costumes down Jewett and back again.

Community Treats – 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Jewett Blvd between Estes Ave and Main Ave
Wizards, witches, and ghouls of all ages are invited to walk Jewett Boulevard to gather treats and show off costumes. We encourage everyone—individuals, groups, and businesses—to set up along Jewett Boulevard, hand out treats, and enjoy all the amazing costumes. (Remember, treats must be commercially wrapped and sealed.)

All events are free and open to all ages.
