Fill a Bowl, Fill a Need: Empty Bowls May 17, 2025
During the month-long White Salmon Wildflower Festival, one of the most heartwarming events is back, Empty Bowls, and it’s one you won’t want to miss. On Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 4–7 PM, head to Columbia High School for Empty Bowl, a beautiful gathering where art, community, and generosity come together to support an important cause.
For just $15, you’ll get to select a hand-crafted ceramic bowl—each one lovingly made by local students and artists—and fill it with gourmet soup donated by some of White Salmon’s favorite restaurants, including Henni’s Kitchen & Bar, White Salmon Baking Co., and Everybody’s Brewing. The best part? All proceeds go directly to Washington Gorge Action Programs (WAGAP), a nonprofit that’s been serving Klickitat and Skamania Counties for over 50 years.
WAGAP plays a vital role in our region, working to meet basic human needs like food, shelter, and energy assistance. Their programs are about more than short-term help—they aim to build long-term stability and foster hope, dignity, and opportunity for people across the Columbia Gorge.
Presented by the White Salmon Valley School District Arts Walk, the Empty Bowl event is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of creativity, compassion, and community. As you stroll the high school campus, you’ll also enjoy student art displays and truly feel what makes White Salmon such a special place.
We’re proud to have this event supported by amazing community partners including the White Salmon Arts Council, White Salmon Valley Education Foundation, Everybody’s Brewing, White Salmon Baking Co., and Henni’s Kitchen & Bar.
Come hungry. Leave inspired. Help make a difference.
