This December, White Salmon will come alive with twinkling lights, festive spirit, and a brand-new tradition you won’t want to miss—Village Lights, our town’s first-ever holiday weekend celebration! Over three merry days, locals and visitors alike are invited to gather, shop, sip, and celebrate the creativity and community that make White Salmon shine.

A Weekend of Festivities
From December 5–7, downtown White Salmon transforms into a winter wonderland filled with holiday lights, carolers, cozy fire pits, festive shop windows, and joyful gatherings. The weekend features a lineup of special events hosted by local makers, artists, wineries, and businesses—all designed to showcase the warmth and creativity of our mountain community.
One highlight you won’t want to miss is Sip the Gorge, an intimate holiday wine tasting event celebrating the best of the Columbia Gorge AVA at the Historic Mountain View Grange. For one day only, 10–15 boutique, small-batch wineries will gather under one roof, pouring wines made exclusively from Columbia Gorge AVA grapes. Small bites will be expertly paired. Guests will have the chance to meet winemakers, discover new favorites, and connect with fellow wine lovers in a cozy holiday setting with live music featuring the 3 Rivers Jazz Project.
On Saturday, head to the Festival of Making at Gorge MakerSpace, where you can dive into hands-on holiday creativity. Try your hand at gift-making stations, watch artist demos, and bid on locally crafted treasures in the silent auction. With delicious food, a toasty fire pit, and all proceeds supporting the MakerSpace’s mission to keep creativity accessible for all, it’s a community favorite in the making.
Throughout the weekend, enjoy pop-up markets, live music, a holiday lights competition, Santa visits, and a cheerful beer garden. Stroll through the streets with a warm drink in hand, connect with friends and neighbors, and take in the small-town magic that makes White Salmon so special this time of year.
