Cindy Ives
With no prior background or inclination in art, I stumbled into it at age 50 when enrolling my young son in a fledgling private art school and encouraged to enroll in art classes myself. Taking classes for therapy eventually turned into true enjoyment of the various mediums, and many years later I graduated and began teaching classes myself. Today I reside in White Salmon and continue to teach and paint, but my main love these days is painting using the relatively new medium of alcohol ink. It satisfies my craving for vibrant color which I use to paint flowers, landscapes and occasional abstracts.
