Blowfish Designs

Blowfish Designs was born out of small town living, an active outdoor lifestyle and a hunger to craft. The products we create and the business we carefully cultivate reflects this at its roots. The act of handcrafting something not only brings us closer to ourselves and the artists we work with, but also to the person who comes to think of a Blowfish hat like a daily companion; a nostalgic memento.

We want our hats to be a part of the memories that are made through the places you go wearing them. Just as the mountains details emerge the higher you meander, so does the nuance in the handcrafted work the longer you regard and wonder. It may be a tall aspiration to want hats to connect people to each other and to the wild world around them but we’re gonna go for it anyways.

With each season evolving we are always scheming new hat styles and the designs are ever flowing. Each hand picked fabric will come and go so that we are keeping it fresh and original. That’s the way we want to live because as a family we’re frequently on the go and dreaming of the next mission.

We do what we do not only because it makes our lives fuller (and gloriously hectic) but because we want to set a precedent: staying small works. We’re truly familiar with every last hat that leaves the storeroom shelf. And thats just the way it will always be.

We are based in White Salmon, Washington where the migrating Blowfish tries it’s gills out in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
