Barn Quilts by Beatty
I am a Barn Quilt artist. You have likely seen barn quilts installed on structures throughout the countryside including barns and houses. They are made with acrylic house paint on plywood panels of varying sizes. While many barn quilts resemble traditional textile quilt blocks or hex signs, the ones I make are often representations of nature. The pieces are all original designs and are unique. I am a biologist and a geographer who has done field research around the world. In retirement I returned to my first love – art. I bring my love of nature and art together to create my own style of barn quilts.
