Have you heard about Alcohol Ink art and are curious about it, especially the alcohol part? Cindy Ives will demonstrate how it works during the Wildflower Festival. Cindy is a local artist who loves to paint flowers with this medium. Her colorful art prints are currently on display at The Missing Corner.

With no prior background or inclination in art I sort of stumbled into it at age 50 when I enrolled our son in a fledgling private art school and began taking art classes myself. I discovered that with good teaching methods combined with my willingness to do the work that it wasn’t too late to learn.
I took dozens of classes in pencil drawing, acrylics, watercolor, pastels, etc. and eventually gained the confidence and skill to begin teaching drawing, offering kids art camps, and private painting parties.
These explorations into the world of fine art have been nurturing, therapeutic, and fun.
